Henry Hopkins

Henry is a Senior Analyst at Santander Private Banking International in Miami, covering ultra-high-net-worth clients across Latin America. He graduated from Columbia University.

His seat is an unusual one, and it is the reason to book him. He sits on an offshore team that brings investment-banking capability to private-bank relationships — M&A advisory for clients selling or restructuring family businesses, and OTC derivatives including cross-currency swaps for clients managing exposure across borders. Very little of private wealth works that way, and almost no student recruiting into it knows the seat exists.

He got there the ordinary way, which is the useful part: the 2024 Santander summer analyst class in Miami, converted to full time. Alongside it he worked as a legal analyst on corporate structuring — re-domiciliation, tax structures, investment vehicles — which is the machinery behind a lot of what cross-border UHNW clients actually need.
