Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how PWM Pathway LLC (“PWM Pathway,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you visit pwmpathway.com, create an account, purchase a program, or communicate with us. By using the site you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of personal information:

  • Identifiers and contact data: your first and last name, email address, and LinkedIn profile URL, which we require to open the member library and community; and, if you provide them, your phone number, school, major, and graduation year.
  • Education and professional data: university, graduation year, and any background you share in an application, quiz, or consultation request.
  • Account data: your login credentials and authentication records, handled by our authentication provider.
  • Purchase data: the programs you buy, amounts, and transaction references. We never receive or store your full card number; payments are processed entirely by Stripe.
  • Learning data: lesson progress, completions, downloads, certificates earned, and login activity. Completion and download records are permanent and are used to assess eligibility under the Seven-Day Satisfaction Policy.
  • Email engagement data: which of our emails were delivered to you, whether they were opened, which links in them you clicked, and any bounce or spam-complaint report from your mail provider. We use this to tell whether the information you asked for actually reached you and to stop mailing an address that is not working. Open tracking relies on a small image loading in your mail client, so blocking remote images prevents it.
  • Content you submit: messages, community posts, direct messages, profile details, and uploaded images. Direct messages are shown only to the people in the conversation, never to other members. They are stored on our systems like everything else in the community, and PWM Pathway’s administrator can review community content, including direct messages, where needed to keep members safe, to look into a report, to enforce our Terms, or to meet a legal obligation.
  • Community standing: inside the member community, other members can see a level and a points total beside your name, and a leaderboard ranks them. Both are calculated from the number of lessons you have completed, reactions other members give your posts, and any wins you choose to share. Direct messages never count. We also count the days in a row you open the community. You can turn this off at any time in your profile, which hides your level, points and streak from every other member.
  • Member directory: if you hold a course with us, including the free course, other members can find you in the community by your name, school, major and graduation year, and by any target firms you choose to add. People we already had on file when the community opened were listed the same way. Until you open the community yourself, other members are never shown your email address or your LinkedIn, cannot message you there, and we send you no email about it. To be removed from the directory, reply to any PWM Pathway email or delete your account.
  • Polls: votes in community polls are anonymous to other members, who see totals only. We store which option you chose so that you can change it, and we remove it if you delete your account.
  • Usage data: pages viewed, referring page, and approximate timing, collected by our own analytics. On public marketing pages, Trybe also receives campaign parameters, a browser visitor identifier, browser/device information, and product views to measure marketing performance.

2. How we use it

  • To deliver the programs, coaching, and community access you purchase or request.
  • To create and secure your account, and to authenticate you.
  • To process payments and issue receipts.
  • To send transactional email: receipts, application updates, and access instructions.
  • To send marketing email, where you have opted in. You may unsubscribe at any time.
  • To respond to your questions and provide support.
  • To measure and improve the site and curriculum.
  • To detect abuse and to comply with legal obligations.

3. Service providers we share data with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the vendors that operate this business, each of which processes it on our behalf:

  • Vercel: website and application hosting.
  • Neon: the database where your records are stored.
  • Clerk: account creation, login, and session security.
  • Stripe: payment processing. Stripe handles your card data under its own privacy policy.
  • Resend: delivery of transactional and marketing email.
  • Vercel Blob: storage for images and files you upload.
  • Google (Calendar) and Calendly: scheduling coaching and consultation calls.
  • Trybe: marketing attribution, using public-site activity and verified paid order references, amounts, and a browser visitor identifier. We do not send account email addresses or card details to Trybe.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our Terms, or in connection with a merger or sale of the business.

4. Cookies, embeds, and tracking

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in, and first-party analytics to count page views. We use the Trybe pixel on public marketing pages, served through track.pwmpathway.com, to connect visits and product views with purchases. Trybe sets a visitor cookie for up to one year and uses session storage for campaign attribution. We do not load this pixel on sign-in, checkout, member, or administration pages. We honor Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track browser signals by disabling Trybe tracking and withholding its visitor identifier from new checkouts. Browser cookie controls can also limit this tracking.

Some pages embed content from YouTube (Google), Vimeo and Instagram (Meta), and link to Google Calendar and Calendly. When those embeds load, those companies may set their own cookies and receive your IP address under their own privacy policies. You can block third-party cookies in your browser to limit this.

5. Marketing email and unsubscribing

Every marketing email we send includes a working unsubscribe link and our postal address. Unsubscribing stops marketing email immediately. We will still send transactional messages related to a purchase or your account (receipts, access instructions, and application decisions) because you need them.

6. Data retention

We keep account, purchase, and learning records for as long as your account is active and afterward as needed for tax, accounting, and legal purposes (generally seven years for transaction records). Marketing contacts are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. You may request deletion at any time.

7. Security

The site is served over HTTPS, credentials are managed by a dedicated authentication provider, payment details never touch our servers, and administrative functions are restricted to authorized accounts. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your rights

Wherever you live, you may ask us to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and you may opt out of marketing. Email team@pwmpathway.com and we will respond within 30 days. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

9. California residents (CCPA/CPRA)

In the past 12 months we have collected the categories described in Section 1, namely identifiers, education and professional information, commercial (purchase) information, internet activity, and content you submit, for the business purposes described in Section 2, from the sources described in Section 1, and shared them only with the service providers listed in Section 3.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We have not done so in the preceding 12 months. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16.

California residents have the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out, and to be free from discrimination for exercising those rights. Submit a request to team@pwmpathway.com. You may use an authorized agent; we may need to verify your identity before acting.

10. EU/UK visitors (GDPR)

We are based in the United States and our services are directed at a United States audience, but if you access the site from the EEA or UK: our legal bases are performance of a contract (delivering what you bought), consent (marketing email), and legitimate interests (securing and improving the site). You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection, and may complain to your supervisory authority. Data is transferred to and processed in the United States.

11. Children

The site is intended for users aged 18 and over and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, email us and we will delete it.

12. Changes

We may update this policy. We will change the “last updated” date above and, for material changes, notify registered users by email. Continued use after an update means you accept it.
