About the Role: Internal Sales Associate
Role Overview:
The Internal Sales Specialist will work closely with External Sales Specialists to develop and maintain relationships with key financial advisors within designated channels and territories. The goal of this role is to accelerate the adoption of Blackstone’s investment solutions among financial advisors and their clients. As the subject matter expert on Blackstone’s diverse alternative investment offerings, the Internal Sales Specialist will engage in high-level client interactions, both proactive and reactive, to promote Blackstone’s products and services.
Your Role
As an Internal Sales Specialist within Blackstone’s PWS team, you will:
- Partner with External Sales Specialists: Collaborate to drive sales within assigned territories, ensuring alignment on territory plans and sales strategies.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with financial advisors through proactive calls, emails, and follow-ups, as well as occasional in-person meetings within the territory.
- Client Service: Provide exceptional service by addressing inbound inquiries from financial advisors, coordinating with the operations team to resolve account-related issues, and ensuring a seamless client experience.
- Product Expertise: Demonstrate a deep understanding of Blackstone’s products, including fund objectives, terms, exposures, manager strategies, positioning, and performance attribution, to effectively communicate with clients.
- Consultative Sales Approach: Profile financial advisors to understand their business, clients, and investment challenges, matching them with the most suitable Blackstone solutions.
- Data-Driven Strategy: Utilize data and CRM systems to log all client and prospect activity, optimizing engagement strategies with financial advisors.
- Operational Efficiency: Identify and document operational procedures to streamline ongoing fund maintenance across various platforms.
Your Expertise
Blackstone is seeking candidates who:
- Educational Background: Hold a Bachelor’s degree.
- Licensing: Possess FINRA Series 7 & (63/65 or 66) licenses.
- Industry Experience: Have 5-7 years of experience in the financial services industry, with a preference for asset management, wealth management, or alternatives experience.
- Communication Skills: Exhibit exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex investment concepts clearly.
- Passion for Capital Markets: Have a demonstrated passion for capital markets and alternative investments.
- Adaptability and Initiative: Thrive in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment with a strong focus on excellence and a proactive approach to challenges.
- Technical Proficiency: Are proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experienced with CRM technology, such as Salesforce.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base Salary: $135,000 - $145,000 annually (actual base salary will be determined based on the individual’s experience, skills, qualifications, and job location).
- Additional Compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the role.
