About the Role: Investor Services Associate

Program Overview:

Blackstone’s Private Wealth Solutions (PWS) team is responsible for delivering customized investment products across Blackstone’s global footprint to meet the needs of individual investors and smaller institutions. This team collaborates with Blackstone’s investing businesses in every major asset class to create bespoke products that address the specific asset allocation and portfolio construction objectives of these clients. The PWS team works directly with financial advisors and wealth management professionals to provide education on alternatives and Blackstone’s solutions, extending the firm’s reach to smaller foundations, endowments, and insurance companies.

The Investor Services Associate role is ideal for professionals with 5+ years of industry experience who exhibit strong technical, analytical, and communication skills. The role involves a wide range of responsibilities, including managing inquiries from financial advisors, coordinating with other Blackstone business units, and supporting the execution of various projects within the PWS team.

Your Role

As an Investor Services Associate within Blackstone’s PWS team, you will:

  • Field Inquiries: Manage inquiries from financial advisors and internal sales teams regarding Blackstone’s investment offerings.
  • Liaise Across Teams: Collaborate with other Blackstone business units, transfer agents, and third-party service providers to resolve client issues, handle problem resolution, and conduct reconciliations.
  • Project Management: Lead project management initiatives across various groups within PWS to enhance collaboration and operational efficiencies.
  • Operational Procedures: Identify and document operational procedures for ongoing fund maintenance on multiple platforms.
  • Expertise Development: Develop a deep understanding of distribution partners’ operational platforms and processes, becoming the go-to Blackstone expert for financial advisors.
  • Client Support: Assist financial advisors with problem resolution related to account openings, maintenance, client onboarding, and other inquiries, ensuring a smooth and efficient client experience.
  • Ad Hoc Projects: Support PWS business initiatives by engaging in ad hoc projects and research as needed.

Your Expertise

Blackstone is seeking candidates who:

  • Educational Background: Hold a Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Industry Experience: Have 5+ years of financial industry experience, with a strong understanding of high-net-worth clients and financial advisor operating models.
  • Certifications: Possess Series 7 and Series 63 licenses (preferred).
  • Technical Skills: Are proficient in Excel and possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to Detail: Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in their work.
  • Problem-Solving Ability: Exhibit strong analytical skills and the ability to identify and resolve issues effectively.
  • Project Management: Have the capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Collaboration: Are highly motivated, adaptable, collaborative, and proactive, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Operational Knowledge: Have a strong understanding of alternative investment fund and operational terms, which is helpful but not mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base Salary: $135,000 - $145,000 annually (actual base salary will be determined based on the individual’s experience, skills, qualifications, and job location).
  • Additional Compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered for the role.
